About the Event
This attorney-reviewed class will give you the knowledge you need to understand the amount of force that is legal and justified for the SSO in response to a deadly force confrontation. Topics include:
- Legal aspects of self-defense, shul security, and utilizing deadly force
- Justifiable deadly force scenarios and proving a claim of self-defense
- Illinois statutes dealing with self-defense and the use of deadly force
- Making the 911 call, and its role in the ensuing aftermath
- How to deal with responding police, investigating detectives, and prosecutors
- Civil liability and lawsuits related to armed confrontations
- The 6 P’s of preparedness
