Drone Program
The MAGEN Chicago Drone program is an innovative security initiative that utilizes advanced drone technology to enhance safety and surveillance capabilities during large events and for crowd control. The program's primary drone, named AirOne, serves as an aerial overwatch system, providing a crucial second set of eyes for security teams on the ground. By gaining an elevated vantage point, AirOne can transmit valuable security assessment information that would otherwise be impossible to obtain from ground level. This bird's-eye view allows safety personnel to make more informed decisions and respond more effectively to potential threats or incidents.
MAGEN Chicago's drone operations are fully compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations, including FAA Part 107 commercial drone operations. This ensures that the program operates within legal parameters while maximizing its effectiveness. The program is also developing a second stage, which focuses on implementing a Drone First Responder (DFR) system. This emerging technology is rapidly becoming a standard tool for law enforcement and safety organizations across the country. The DFR program aims to deploy drones to incident scenes within two minutes, providing critical video intelligence to MAGEN's team and relevant law enforcement agencies. This quick response time and real-time video feed can significantly improve situational awareness and decision-making in emergency situations.
