About the Event
Learn what a Greeter can and cannot do, as well as the most effective way to ask questions and de-escalate a situation. Ten distinct scenarios were enacted by actors. Participants will be selected to deal with people at the front door, including the newcomer to the synagogue, the person seeking "Gd," the person with a medical issue, the person who doesn't belong, the mentally ill, the person seeking to harm someone, and the active shooter.
This will be enlightening.
