This course is tailored to empower neighborhood Safety Teams and watch groups, especially those protecting communities at high risk for hate crimes, violent crimes, carjackings, armed robberies, and criminal destruction of places of worship. The program is structured to enhance the skills of team members in detecting, identifying, monitoring, investigating, reporting, and providing key evidence against criminal activities.

Dr. Landon J. Wade (Ret. Lt. CPD) is a dynamic leadership speaker, career consultant, and manager of security operations at Discover Financial Services. Combining over 35 years of law enforcement and security experience with a passion for justice, education, and coaching, Dr. Wade helps others achieve their professional goals and protect their communities. He retired as a Lieutenant in the Chicago Police Department, working in various units and roles, rising through the ranks after starting as a Chicago police officer. He has led training, investigations, and strategic response planning efforts globally. Dr. Wade holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership, a master’s in Threat and Response Management, and a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice/Police Science. His extensive policing experience and leadership make him an inspiring speaker and leader.
