About the Event
Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. It is important that as many people as possible survive their injuries if they sustain trauma. Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death from trauma. You can help save a life by knowing how to stop bleeding if someone, including yourself, is injured. The goal is for Stop the Bleed to be common knowledge just like CPR. Over a million people worldwide have gone through the Stop the Bleed course. Training for this life-saving technique is being offered free of charge to the entire community. Read more about Stop the Bleed at www.stopthebleed.org. Registration for this course is required due to limited capacity.
Social distancing will be practiced and masks are required, no exceptions.
